Tarik Malaika
Lead Principal for Sukuk Advisory, Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector
Tarik Malaika joined ICD in May of 2010. Mr. Malaika has 16 years of professional experience in Advisory Services and Investment Banking. At ICD he is the Lead Principal for Sukuk Advisory, working across the 54 member countries of ICD. Tarik was part of the team that Advised on the debut sukuk for Republic of Maldives in addition to a number of debut sukuk in West Africa. Mr. Malaika also lead the team in charge of the first Sovereign local currency sukuk in the Kingdom of Jordan, as well as the first ICD local currency sukuk issuance. Prior to joining ICD, he worked at Samba Capital and HSBC Saudi Arabia Limited. Tarik Has assisted in managing and overseeing the full cycle of deal-related activities for both ECM and DCM transactions, advising companies in the building materials, insurance, healthcare, financial and telecommunications industries.
