Work experience:

Saken Zhumashev is an experienced leader in business consulting, with more than 20 years of industry expertise. He has significantly contributed to institutional and economic reforms in Central Asia and the European Union, focusing on large-scale transformation projects.

Most of his career path, Saken devoted to work in KPMG where he established the first regional practice of Management and Risk consulting. Saken became the Head of KPMG in Kazakhstan and Central Asia in 2018, and in 2022, he stepped into the position of Managing Partner & CEO for the KPMG Caucasus and Central Asia cluster.

Throughout his career, Saken has worked on projects across various industries, including Power and Utilities, Oil and Gas, Transport and Logistics, and Financial Institutes. His expertise in these sectors has been instrumental in driving growth and implementing strategic changes for the whole region of Central Asia.

Saken serves as the Board Member of KPMG Middle East, South Asia, and Caspian region (MESAC). He also co-chairs the Digitalization Working Group of the Foreign Investors’ Council chaired by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (FIC).

Saken is a regular speaker at numerous local and international forums, such as IDC Summit, CFO Summit, Astana Economic Forum, Astana Finance Day, Digital Bridge and other, sharing his insights on technology and business development.
