Rustem has extensive experience in the sphere of environmental initiatives, in the oil and gas and energy industries, and in the public sector.

From 2020 – General Director of the Kazakhstan Association of Regional Environmental Initiatives “ECOJER”.
In 2014-2020 worked as Executive Director for the Development of Oil and Gas and Energy Industries in Kazakhstan Association of Organizations of the Oil and Gas and Energy Complex “KAZENERGY”.
In 2013-2013 worked as Akim of the Kazybek bi district of Karaganda.
In 2003-2013 worked at various positions in KazMunayGas.
Rustem is also experienced in road construction and banking sectors.

– Dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Economics on the topic: “Establishment of the wage fund at coal mines based on labor intensity modeling”;
