Mukhtar Bubeyev

Mukhtar Bubeyev is a qualified professional in banking supervision and the financial services sector. Prior to his appointment as a non-executive member of the Board, he served as an executive Board member and AFSA’s Chief Executive Officer from 9 July 2018 until March 2022. Mukhtar Bubeyev headed banking supervision at the Financial Markets Supervision Agency of Kazakhstan and the National Bank of Kazakhstan. He also served as a board member of Kazakhstan’s central bank responsible for monetary policy. Bubeyev has been with AFSA since its establishment when he joined as Chief Policy Officer in January 2017.
