Elvira Azimova

Azimova Elvira Abilkhasimovna is a Chairperson of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan. She started her career in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where she held different leading positions up to the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan (1996-2019), where she has a wealth of experience in International Law and expertise of International Treaties. She was the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan (02.09.2019-01.01.2023) being a member of the Commission on Human Rights under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (18.09.2021) and a member of the National Commission on Women’s Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (17.05.2022). Appointed to the post of the Chairperson of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan (from 01.01.2023).
