Rustam Tahirov

Rustam Tahirov serves as the Director of the Financial Stability Department at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan. In this role, he oversees the development and implementation of a comprehensive financial stability framework that aims to identify, assess, and mitigate systemic risks to the financial system. Additionally, he is responsible for formulating and executing strategies to promote innovation, competition, and efficiency within the financial sector.

Tahirov earned a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the Bayes Business School in the UK.
