Kazakhstan receives additional $5 billion from Khorgos analogue
Export of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan will grow by $ 4-5 billion due to the international center on the border of the countries. This was announced by the general director of QazTrade Azamat Askaruly, LS reports with reference to the Ministry of Trade and Integration.
During Astana Finance Days 2021, Askaruli noted that trade hubs allow increasing the export of Kazakhstani products.
"The creation of the Central Asia International Center for Trade and Economic Cooperation on the border with Uzbekistan will contribute to an increase in Kazakhstani exports, according to preliminary estimates, by $ 4-5 billion," he said.
Askaruly added that the Eurasia commercial and industrial hub in the West Kazakhstan region will attract Russian business, as well as manufacturing companies from China, the EU, India, Japan and Turkey, considering the possibility of localizing their production.
The speaker also spoke about the possibility of creating a Central Asian logistics hub with the integration of hubs in the Middle East and North Africa. This, he said, will create an efficient food supply chain between regions and a basis for increasing mutual trade.
"At the same time, the development of corridors between the hubs of the two regions will open the shortest routes to other countries, in particular, South and Southeast Asia for the countries of Central Asia and the markets of Europe and China for the Middle East and North Africa," Askaruli said.
