George Grunebaum

George Grunebaum, Global Head of Distribution, joined Ashmore in 2008 and is responsible for sales, marketing, product management and client servicing for the firm’s institutional and retail clients globally. George is also President of Ashmore Funds, a series of US registered mutual funds. Prior to joining Ashmore, George was co-Managing Partner of Dolomite Capital Management and one of the founding partners of the firm. From 1986 to 2005, George worked at JPMorgan Chase in various capacities as an Emerging Markets trader. His most senior roles included head of global client trading, head of global principal risk taking for credit, local interest rates and equities. George was co-chair of the Emerging Markets Traders Association (EMTA) from 2001, until his retirement from JPMorgan Chase in 2005. He received his BA from Hamilton College. He is licensed as a Series 7, Series 24, and Series 63 Registered Representative.
